There’s a map of the Italian area codes on the excellent site plonkit.net/guide. Area codes are of course very useful when playing Geoguessr, but I found the Italian map difficult to memorize because it shows all ~230 telephone districts. To help with this, I’ve edited the map to consolidate districts which only differ by their final digit, leaving only 6×10+1×9+2×1=71 areas. Some of these areas aren’t contiguous (most notably the 042 area, being split into four parts), but it’s still much more manageable than the original.
Curiously there’s an area code that’s missing, namely 084. This is apparently used for nationwide surveys, and as such isn’t geographically relevant.
